Each year Hooked on Books donates shows and books to disadvantaged schools, orphanages and educational programmes. We strive to foster a love of reading in children who do not have easy access to books and reading. Literacy is an ongoing challenge that we hope to improve in whatever small way we can.

If you would like to sponsor a live theatre show please contact our office at the following email or tel 083 436 9038

Collaboration with JJC:

In 2015 Hooked on Books South Africa partnered with the Johannesburg Junior Council (Arts & Culture Committee) to bring the love of books and reading to the less fortunate children of Johannesburg.  Hooked on Books upskilled the talented young councilors in the art of children’s theatre and they in turn took the performance to schools in underprivileged areas around Johannesburg.
